Hey there, I’m Lainey 🤍

Wife, mama, writer, dreamer — and the heart behind Hustle & Hold Doula Care.

My journey into motherhood was nothing short of transformational. As a first-time mom, I chose a home birth — and that experience changed everything. It wasn’t just about bringing my son into the world, it was about stepping into my own power. It opened my eyes to how birth can be sacred, beautiful, and also how deeply broken the system around it can be.

But my story doesn’t start there.

Before birth work, I began my career as a certified medical assistant in OB/GYN. I spent time caring for women in clinical settings — listening, learning, and supporting them through all seasons of reproductive health. That’s where I first felt the pull: the deep desire to walk alongside women more personally, more wholly.

My own journey through PCOS, infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage, and ultimately, my empowering homebirth, shaped me. Every twist and turn — the loss, the fear, the joy — has given me a heart for this work and a passion for holding space for women exactly where they are.

That moment lit a fire in me. I knew I couldn’t keep this passion to myself.

From that spark, I founded the Peach State Birth Coalition, a nonprofit advocating for birth freedom in Georgia. Through PSBC, we’re fighting for women to have real choices, for midwives to have access to licensure, and for every birthing person to feel seen, heard, and supported.

And now? I’m following the call even further — into the birth space itself.

Through Hustle & Hold Doula Care, I offer the kind of support I deeply craved in my own journey: grounded, compassionate care from someone who truly gets it. Whether you’re trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy, preparing for birth, or adjusting to life postpartum — I’m here for you.
